Our Foundation
SoilAir Selection focuses on humanitarian needs because we believe it is important to give back to the community. We are pleased to donate a portion of our annual income each year to a different charity.
2021: God’s Love We Deliver
The mission of God’s Love We Deliver is to improve the health and well-being of men, women and children living with HIV/AIDS, cancer and other serious illnesses by alleviating hunger and malnutrition. The organization prepares and delivers nutritious, high-quality meals to almost 10,000 New Yorkers annually, who, because of their illness, are unable to provide or prepare meals for themselves. God’s Love also provides illness-specific nutrition education and counseling to clients, families, care providers and other service organizations, and was a lifeline for many New Yorkers suddenly facing food insecurity during the COVID-19 pandemic.
2020: Relief Opportunities For All Restaurants (ROAR NY)
New York City is at the epicenter of the COVID-19 pandemic. New Yorkers living in poverty will continue to be hit hardest, and now many have lost their jobs. The Robin Hood Relief Fund is helping New Yorkers by supporting the nonprofit organizations on the frontlines. 100 percent of donations will provide emergency support through food, housing, job security and more. Relief Opportunities for All Restaurants (ROAR) and Robin Hood are partnering to provide direct cash assistance to restaurant workers in New York City facing unprecedented economic hardship as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
2019: Alzheimer’s Association
The Alzheimer's Association is the leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer's care, support and research. Our mission is to eliminate Alzheimer's disease through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care and support for all affected; and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health.
2018: Broadway Housing Communities
Recognized as a pioneering advocate and developer of supportive and affordable housing, BHC has been a trusted community partner since 1983. Today, BHC manages over 400 units of housing for single adults and families in West Harlem and Washington Heights.
2017: Citymeals on Wheels
Citymeals on Wheels provides a continuous lifeline of nourishing meals and vital companionship to our homebound elderly neighbors by delivering weekend, holiday and emergency meals to frail aged New Yorkers, ensuring they never go a day without a nutritious meal and a warm visit.
2016: Hackensack UMC Foundation - Breast Oncology Division
In memory of our former employee Angela Cappiello who left us this year after a long fight against cancer.
The Breast Oncology Division includes experts in surgery, medical oncology, pathology, radiation oncology, radiology, reconstructive surgery, and nursing as well as psychosocial and nutritional support. Being highly focused in breast cancer provides physicians and caregivers the ability to tackle complex cases and optimize the outcome for every patient
2015: Stew Leonard III Children's Charities
Founded in 1990, the foundation is focused on water safety awareness and education for toddlers and children, since drowning is the leading cause of accidental death in children under five. In 2006, the Leonards expanded the foundation's mission to address children's nutrition.
2014: UNICEF
UNICEF is a leading humanitarian and development agency working globally for the rights of every child. Child rights begin with safe shelter, nutrition, protection from disaster and conflict and traverse the life cycle: pre-natal care for healthy births, clean water and sanitation, health care and education.
2013: Robin Hood Foundation
Robin Hood is New York's largest poverty-fighting organization, and since 1988, has focused on finding, funding and creating programs and schools that generate meaningful results for families in New York's poorest neighborhoods.
2012: The Mayor's Fund to Advance New York City
The Mayor's Fund is supporting immediate aid needs as well as long-term restoration efforts in the wake of Hurricane Sandy. The Fund relies on individuals, foundations, and corporations to support public programs in areas including the environment, youth development, financial empowerment, health, volunteerism, and the arts.
2011: City Harvest
Now serving New York City for 30 years, City Harvest is the world's first food rescue organization, dedicated to feeding the city's hungry men, women, and children. This food is then delivered free of charge to some 600 community food programs throughout New York City by a fleet of trucks and bikes. City Harvest helps feed the more than one million New Yorkers that face hunger each year.
2010: The Children’s (IBD) Center at Mount Sinai
The Children’s IBD Center at Mount Sinai was founded to provide innovative and comprehensive care to pediatric patients with Crohn’s and Colitis. Over 1200 children with IBD are followed at Mount Sinai making over 4000 visits per year. This extensive pediatric experience, in collaboration with the hospital’s internationally renowned adult IBD program, makes Mount Sinai an ideal location for a unique approach to IBD care in children.
2009: Lidia's Foundation
In 1999 the Not-for-Profit Lidia’s Foundation was established with goals to benefit the indigent, abandoned, oppressed, neglected, ill or handicapped without regard to race or creed by promoting their health, welfare, happiness and academic and vocational training and development, and by otherwise assisting them in leading fulfilling lives. The foundation funds education programs at the elementary through post-graduate levels.
2008: Goddard Riverside Community Center
Goddard Riverside Community Center is one of New York City's leading human service organizations. They work to meet people's basic needs - food, shelter, education - and to bring them together for mutual aid, and social action.
