Raquel Tavares, a Brazilian born native turned quintessential Californian, turned her love of traveling, cooking, mixology and creating into Paramour, a company that serves the growing global demand for modern, low-alcohol, and additive-free spirits.
In the summer of 2022, Raquel travelled to Paris and Bordeaux to study all things French. Surrounded by culinary tradition and excellence, the European craft cocktail movement stirred inspiration in her to start something fresh.
As the founder of 4th & Heart which offers a line of upgraded ghee butters, spreads and oils, Raquel is no stranger to putting a modern twist on yesterday’s classics. She spent 18 months working on the Paramour brand, liquor recipes, and building out her incredible team. In the Spring of 2024 – almost two years after conception – she and her team launched Paramour with three apéritifs: Cara Cara, Lavendar Yuzu, and Elderflower. Each small batch distilled apéritif is low in calories and alcohol and contains no artificial colors, flavors, sugar, corn syrup, preservatives, additives or fillers. Each apéritif is gluten free and vegan friendly.
