A Bordeaux look-alike, the 1999 Sul Bric, a blend of equal parts Barbera and Cabernet Sauvignon aged 12 months in barrique, exhibits an opaque ruby/purple color in addition to a big, sweet nose of cedar, creme de cassis, licorice, and spicy oak. Medium to full-bodied, rich, and long, it should be admired for its purity as well as character. It is capable of aging for 10-12 years.
