Farella Sauvignon Blanc 2015

International Wine Report: 91pts

This Sauvignon Blanc comes from the same block on their estate vineyard in Coombsville, as it has for the past 30 years. They only keep 15-20% of the Sauvignon Blanc grapes, with the remainder going to Realm Cellars, Lail Vineyards and Tournesol. The 2015 Sauvignon Blanc from Farella is absolutely fabulous, as it instantly opens with pretty, bright aromas and flavors of lime, gooseberry, sweet melon, minerals and hints of grassy herbs, all coming together beautifully. This medium weight Sauvignon Blanc demonstrates remarkable balance of fruit and acidity, which is backed by a gorgeous texture. This finishes up crisp and lively, leaving behind gorgeous fresh fruits lingering on. 340 cases made. (Best 2016-2019) - October, 2016 (JD)
