Folded Hills Grenache Grant 2015

Wine Enthusiast: 93pts

Bright and radiant aromas of cherry, strawberry and raspberry meet with rose petals, spice cake and a touch of bubblegum on the nose of this bottling by winemaker Angela Osborne. There is firm structure to the palate at first, then comes tart cherry and hibiscus flavors—altogether quite refreshing.

Vinous: 92pts

The 2015 Grenache Grant is a very pretty wine. Sweet red cherry, plum, mint and rose petal notes give the 2015 lovely brightness and striking purity of expression. Inviting and impeccably balanced, the 2015 is a flat-out delicious wine to drink now and over the next handful of years. A dollop of Syrah rounds out the blend.

 Wine&Spirits: 91pts

This is brisk, lifted grenache, its bright, strawberry-red flavor turning floral at the end, while the tannins are gripping, herbal and refreshing. It’s not a complex wine, but it’s all about fruit, with no oak or overripeness to mar its vibrant grenache character. (527 cases)
