Montecariano Amarone 2013

James Suckling: 93pts

An idiosyncratic nose with aromas of
dusty chestnuts and earthy truffles,
alongside Christmas spices. The fruit is
dark and vibrant, reminiscent of
chocolate-covered plums and morello
cherries. Full-bodied with intricately
detailed tannins that weave a fine web of
compote-like forest fruit. The acidity is
well punctuated and delineated until the
chewy finish. Drink from 2021
