Riecine La Gioia 2013

James Suckling:93pts

A balanced and delicate red with sweet strawberry and floral character. Light to medium body, bright acidity and a clean and soft textured finish. Very fine sangiovese. Drink now.

 International Wine Report: 93pts

The 2013 ‘La Gioia’ is another impressive Rossso from Riecine in this vintage. Bright and vibrant, this Sangiovese opens to aromatics of red berries, dried cherries, tobacco, licorice, wild herbs and exotic spices all coming together beautifully. This medium body is fine and elegant, with lovely structure and poise backed by a core of racy acidity, which persists through the fresh, lively finish. (Best 2018-2026) - August, 2017 (JD)

Wine Advocate: 90pts

Here's a pretty expression of Sangiovese with bright intensity and attractive ruby luminosity. The 2013 La Gioia is tart and tight with cherry and cassis followed by blue flower and moist earth. This mid-weight wine offers balanced acidity and crispness on the sweet and fruit-driven finish.
