Elizabeth Chambers Cellar Pinot Noir Winemakers Cuvee 2014

Wine Enthusiast: 92 pts

Tasted alongside the 2013, this is bigger, bolder, fruitier and more powerful, yet a touch less refined. The strawberry and cherry fruit is underscored with a pleasing minerality. The tannins are substantial and in proportion. A hint of chicken stock runs through the finish.

Vinous: 90 pts

Lurid red. Ripe red berry, cherry liqueur and peppery spice aromas show good clarity and pick up a hint of smokiness with aeration. Sweet and seamless on the palate, offering juicy black raspberry and cherry flavors and a touch of bitter chocolate. Closes smoky and long, displaying good focus to the lingering red fruit, vanilla and spice notes.

Wine Spectator: 90 pts

Fresh and vital, with a sprinkling of peppery tannins around a generous, open-weave core of red berry and floral flavors, finishing harmoniously. Drink now through 2022. 2,500 cases made.
