The 2016 Le Sabbie dell'Etna Rosso begins with beautiful inviting aromatics of fresh strawberries, cherries, wet stones, spices, smoke, earth and herbs all coming together and soaring from the glass. Elegant, balanced and focused, this bright, mineral driven blend of Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappuccio continues to shine through the fresh finish. A simply gorgeous Etna Rosso which is showing beautifully now, yet should also continue to drink well with some additional bottle age.

The ripe fruit and hints of smoky meat are compelling here. Hints of leather, too. Full body, firm and round tannins with a juicy and delicious finish. A blend of nerello mascalese and nerello cappuccio. Drink and enjoy.
