Firriato Sant'Agostino Rosso 2013

International Wine Report: 92pts

Sourced from the Calcareous/clayey soils of the Baglio Sorìa Estate in the Trapani countryside, this excelent blend of Nero d'Avola and Syrah begins with inviting aromas of dark cherries and wild berries woven together with scorched earth, spices and roasted herbs all coming together beautifully in the glass. On the palate this is medium to full-bodied with a lovely velvety texture and excellent overall structure leading up to a lingering finish. While this is impressive right now, it should also continue to drink well with some additional bottle age.
